GORDON S. BENDER
AGE: 58 * EAST BRUNSWICK


Gordon S. “Buddy” Bender died Friday at home. He was 58.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to East Brunswick 22 years ago.

He had been an electrical engineer for over 35 years, most recently with Structure Tone Inc. of New York City, where he spent the past five years.

A sister, Arlene Geller, died in 1991.

Surviving are his wife of 14 years, the former Susan Petersen; two sons, Peter Bellasalma and David, both of East Brunswick; two daughters, Deborah of North Tampa, Fla., and Laura Bellasalma of Boca Raton, Fla.; a brother, Dr. Gerald of New Rochelle, N.Y; two sisters, Sheilah Kaye of East Brunswick and Jane Lanza of Jamesburg, and his mother, Goldie of Jamesburg.

Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Sunday at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, Cranbury Road at Evergreen Boulevard, East Brunswick. Burial will follow at Knollwood Park Cemetery, Ridgewood section of Queens, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Hospice Program. 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701-9978.
