Martin L. Resnick, of Lexington, MA, age 65, January 18, 2021. Beloved husband of Marlene B. Simpson for 38 years and most dedicated and cherished father of David and Arim. Martin was born May 27, 1955, in Queens, NY, to Jack and the late Florence Resnick of Kingman, AZ. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Dale J. Simpson, and his favorite Aunt, Paula Goldberg.
Martin earned his degrees from Brooklyn Technical High School and MIT, pursuing his chosen field as a software engineer. He went far beyond being accomplished in his field; he was accomplished in his ability to interact with people on all levels, from elementary school kids to PhDs, many of whom assumed Martin was also a PhD. If you didn’t understand something, Martin could figure out multiple ways to explain it until you understood. He happily shared his gifts of knowledge, patience, understanding, and communication with his community and colleagues.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Martin L. Resnick can be made to the Esther and Frank Simon Memorial Fund, Congregation B’nai Israel, 1488 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ 08753, or a charity of your choice.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, burial in New Jersey will be private via Zoom link.
A Zoom Memorial Shiva service will be held on Thursday, January 21, at 3:00 pm.
