Auto Crash Kills Five
Gibson City, Ill., Feb. 1 (AP)
Five persons were killed and two others injured today in an auto collision on Illinois 47.
State police identified the victims as:
Howard Schulphies, 22, of Dixmoor, driver of one of the autos, and his mother, Mrs. Louise Schulphies, 41, also of Dixmoor.
Mrs. Beverly Hoggard, 19, of Midlothian, Ill., a passenger in the auto drive by Schulphies.
Mrs. Opal Jackowski, 38, of Danville, driver of the second auto, and her passenger, Laura Lee Mittman, 35, also of Danville. State police said the two women were en route to Rockford for a bowling tournament.
