From Carole Kromsky Obituary - Miami, FL: [2461]

Carole Kromsky, born March 26, 1937, daughter of the late Taube and Charles Segall from Montreal, Canada, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 29 at 84. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Frank Kromsky (90), of Aventura, Florida. They were married for 63 fun-filled years, and he was her everything. She is also survived by her three children, Debra Stasio (Joseph) of Denver, Colorado, Marci Kromsky of Hollywood, Florida, and Mitchell Kromsky (Julie) of Baltimore, Maryland. Her five grandchildren adore her: Ryan Kromsky (28), Justin Stasio (27), Jaryd Kromsky (Rachel) (27, 26), Melynda Kromsky (24), and Aaron Stasio (21). They were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Spilkov of Toronto, and brother, Dr. Peter Segall (Miriam) of Aventura, Florida, along with several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Strathcona Christian Academy and received her Teaching degree from Macdonald College in 1955. Carole started her career as a teacher in Montreal, married Frank in 1958, and then moved to Miami, Florida, where they raised their family in North Miami Beach. She returned to school and received her master’s degree in education to focus on Special Ed. She retired from teaching at Highland Oaks Middle School.

She kept in touch with many former students; all will miss her unconditional support. Her colleagues and community knew her as a powerful champion for children with learning disabilities and kids grappling with challenging circumstances at home. She was always available to her students for guidance, an encouraging word, or a hug to cheer them up.

Carole was an active member of Temple Sinai of North Dade on 22nd Ave in NMB, FL. She loved playing tennis and mahjong, attending book and stock club meetings, and traveling worldwide. She spent vacations in their home in the Laurentian mountains, snowshoeing and hiking, picking berries, and pedal boating with her grandchildren, family, and friends. Her energy and zest for life will be missed but never forgotten.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Lakeside Memorial Cemetery for a graveside service, 10301 NW 25 Street, Miami, FL 33172, at 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 2nd, (305) 592-0690. Shiva for Carole will be held in the Vi located at 19333 West Country Club Road in Aventura, FL 33180, following the service until 8 p.m. and then again on Wednesday and Thursday, 4-8 p.m., with a minyan each day at 6 p.m. To honor her memory and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Temple Sinai of North Dade, or the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.

From Franklin Kromsky Obituary - Miami, FL:

Franklin N. Kromsky, born April 16, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away at approximately 11:00 pm on Tuesday. April 21, 2026, at the age of 95. Frank passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Aventura, Florida, with his children by his side.

He was raised in New York City, spending his early years in Brooklyn and frequently visiting his cousins in Philadelphia. Franklin was the eldest son of Max and Tillie Kromsky (nee Epstein). Frank was named after his grandfather, who passed away at a young age and ultimately bore the same Hebrew Name. After his father, Max, also passed at a young age, Frank helped his mother to raise his baby brother Philip, forming close family bonds that remained important throughout his life.

Frank became a Bar Mitzvah in 1944. He attended Boys High School (c/o 1949) in Brooklyn, NY, and went on to study at Brooklyn College & CCNY (City College of New York). During his third year, Frank was drafted & proudly served in the United States Army after completion of OCS Training at Fort Dix and serving during the Korean War (approximately 1953 to 1955) prior to an Honorable Discharge in 1960, an experience that shaped his sense of discipline and commitment. Just a few days prior to passing, the US Army honored him with a final sendoff, a pinning, and a statement calling for the completion of his tour of duty.

Following his military service, Franklin built a career as an entrepreneur and businessman, owning businesses including C+F Gift Shop, Frank’s Men’s Wear, Kings North East Jewels, Frank’s Watch Repair, and his all-time favorite – a booth vendor at various flea markets and swap shops. He was known for his energy, enthusiasm, hard-bargaining skills, witty jokes, endless advice, positivity, and driving miles to find any and every yard-sale deal.

Frank married Carole Rhoda Segall on March 23, 1958, at Temple Beth El in Montreal, Canada. Together, they built a life rooted in North Miami Beach, Florida, but spent much of their time as reverse “snow-birds” maintaining a home in Ste-Adolphe-de-Howard, Quebec, Canada, and spending winters and summers there. Their very short courtship began in August of 1957 after meeting on the tennis courts in the Catskills, leading to a lifelong partnership of 64 years together. Carole passed away in 2021. He will be laid to rest at her side. We pray that they may now be reunited for all eternity.

He is survived by his brother, Phillip (Gail) Kromsky; his daughters, Debra (Joseph) Stasio & Marci Kromsky; and his son, Mitchell (Julie) Kromsky. His grandchildren are Ryan Kromsky, Justin (Shayna) Stasio, Jaryd (Rachel) Kromsky, Melynda (Jackson) Hull, & Aaron Stasio. His great-grandchild, Nathaniel Kromsky, & more g-g-babies are on the way.

Frankie will be remembered for his sense of humor, always being ready with index cards full of jokes, amazing memory for every joke, as well as his love for travel, gambling, and family visits. He was a keen tennis player - often matching against some of the biggest professional names in the sport; he continued playing late into his 80s. Family was absolutely everything to him, and his legacy lives on through his family and the many social connections he made along the way. Frank’s contagious enthusiasm and laughter had an impact on everyone he met.

Funeral services for Dad will be held at Lakeside Memorial Gardens - 10301 NW 25th St, Miami, FL 33172 - on Tuesday, April 28th at 11:30 AM. Shiva will follow at the Vi of Aventura, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7-9 PM - 19333 W Country Club Dr, Aventura, FL 33180 - with a minyan at 8 PM.

P.S. If you noticed the N. for his middle name, please note that Franklin did not have a middle name but was extremely proud of a clerical error on his birth certificate that listed “NO/NA,” an abbreviation for “No Name,” in the space for a middle initial/name. He often joked that his legal name was, in fact, Franklin Noname Kromsky. (Cue laughter.)
