MUSCATINE, Iowa — Clifford W. Bower, 85, Muscatine, died Monday, July 4, 2005, at Unity Hospital.
The Rev. Chris Lary will officiate the services. Casket bearers are Scott Bower, Greg Bower, Rob Bower, Doug Bower, Tom Miller, Bill Umlandt, and Denny Anderson. Honorary casket bearers are Bud Fridley, Fred Hurlbut, Leroy Waters, and Gil Lawrence. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Bower was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Muscatine, the son of Leonard and Ida Belle Yeater Bower. He married Marian L. Mittman on Oct. 20, 1948, in Muscatine.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, where he served four years in the Pacific Theater.
He was a 50-year member of First Baptist Church.
He worked for Stanley Consultants for 40 years, retiring in 1987.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bradley D. Bower of Ormond Beach, Fla., and David L. Bower and wife Sofia of Magna, Utah; a daughter, Karen Miller and husband Tom of Muscatine; seven grandchildren; and a brother, D. Bernell Bower and wife Minnie Ellen of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Janice Diane, and a daughter-in-law, Gale Bower.
