[2744]DAHLING, GLEN D.Glen D. Dahling, 87, of Carpentersville, formerly of Port Richey, FL, was born May 18, 1915, and died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002. Devoted husband for 54 years of Florentine “Boots” nee Sooman: beloved father of Gayle (Ron) Davis of South Barrington; cherished grandfather of Kenn, Robin, and Jennifer Veach; loving brother-in-law of Barbara (the late Albert) Diestel, Harry (Annette) Sooman and Alex (Marguarite) Sooman; fond uncle of Donald; and loyal friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Adelia, nee Dege, Dahling, and his brothers, Lester and Emil. The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated immediately following at 10:30 a.m. Elegy Cremation and Memorial Services, L.L.C., 877-565-7070, made arrangements.

[2737]DAHLING, FLORENTINE D.Florentine D. “Boots” Dahling, born January 20, 1917, passed away July 24, 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Ron) Davis; grandchildren, Kenn (Jennie) Veach and Robin and Jennifer Veach; and great-grandson, Nicholas Veach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen. A Mass of New Life will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Rd., Inverness. Family and friends will be received at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
