Mrs. Bertha S. Mittman

The funeral of Mrs. Bertha Siehm Mittman, 64, of 762 Park Street, will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home, 233 Washington Street. The burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery. She was born in Germany and has lived in Hartford for 60 years. She was employed by the New England Laundry for 15 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She leaves two sons, Edward A. Mittman of Hartford and Albert F. Mittman, serving in the Mediterranean area with the United States Navy; a brother, Fred Siehm of Madison; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Helen Kelleher and Mrs. Augusta Quinn, both of Hartford.

Charles Mettman.

Charles Mettman of No. 54 Grand Street died yesterday afternoon after a long illness. He was a baker and a member of the Bakers’ Union and Sons of Herman. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Edward Mettman; two brothers, John Mettman of Hartford, and a brother in Germany. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock at the funeral home of Taylor & Modeen, No. 233 Washington Street. Burlal will be in Zion Hill Cemetery.
