MITTMAN — On Sept. 25, 1969, Sadie (nee Gelfand) of 31-V Riverview Garden, North Arlington, N.J., beloved mother of Betty Zwirn, Sylvia Moltz, Edna Miller, Edith Meyers, and Ted Mittman and Jerome Mittman, also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, sister of Anna Shapiro and Dora Shapiro. Funeral from The SUBURBAN CHAPEL OF PHILIP APTER & SON, 1600 Springfield Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Friday, Sept. 26 at 12 noon. Interment: New Washington Cemetery, Deans, N.J. A period of mourning will be observed at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Zwirn, 31-V Riverview Garden, North Arlington, N.J.

Mrs. Mittman, services today

Mrs. Sadie Gelfand Mittman of 31-V Riverview Garden, North Arlington, died yesterday in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was 79.

Services will be held at noon today in the Suburban Chapel of Philip Apter & Son, 1600 Springfield Ave., Maplewood.

Mrs. Mittman was born in Russia and was brought to the U.S. as a child. She lived in New York for most of her life and moved to North Arlington in 1953. She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Congregation B'nai Israel of Kearny.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Betty Zwirn and Mrs. Sylvia Moltz, both of North Arlington, Mrs. Edna Miller of Passaic and Mrs. Edith Meyers of West Orange; two sons, Ted of Metuchen and Jerome of Perth Amboy; two sisters, Anna Shapiro of The Bronx and Dora Shapiro of Miami Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
