Robert Mittman
MUSCATINE, Iowa — Services for Robert L. Mittman, 77, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home, Muscatine. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today.
Mr. Mittman died Monday at Bethesda Care Center.
He farmed until 1956 and worked at Hawkeye Lumber, where he hauled the lumber to build Colorado School. He later worked as a janitor at the school for 17 years. He married Violette Rexroth in 1938.
He was interested in woodworking, making dollhouses, furniture, and clocks.
Memorials may be made to Bloomington-Muscatine Friends Church, which he was a member of.
His survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary (Mrs. Andy) Beckman of Muscatine; a granddaughter; and a brother, Harry Jr. of Anaheim, Calif.
