BENJAMIN W. MITTMAN

Benjamin W. Mittman, 79, of 129 Roscoe Ave., died at 9 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, of complications following a short illness.

The son of George and Christina Rieke Mittman, he was born October 30, 1888, in Muscatine County and has lived there his whole life.

He was a Baptist and a veteran of World War I.

The survivors are one brother, William Mittman, and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Eppel and Mrs. Laura Oetzel, all of Muscatine. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ralph J. Wittch funeral home with Rev. Frank Gillett in charge. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
