Mr. Charles E. F. Mittman Sr., 44 years old, of 2727 Brill Rd., husband of Josephine M. Mittman, father of Charles E. F. Mittman Jr., Deborah K. Gibson, and Terry L. Charles Mittman Sr.
Charles E. F. Mittman Sr., 44, 2727 Brill Road, a Navy veteran of World War II, died yesterday in St. Francis Hospital. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he was a cable splicer for Indianapolis Power and Light Company for 21 years. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in G. H. Hermann South East Street Funeral Home, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Josephine M. Mittman; a son, Charles E. F. Mittman Jr.; and two daughters, Mrs. Deborah K. Gibson and Mrs. Terry L. Burmeister, all of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Mittman, who died Monday at the University Heights Nursing Home, worked as a clerk at Central Hardware for 8 years, retiring in 1990. She was the widow of Charles Mittman, Sr. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Survivors - son Charles Mittman Jr.; daughters Debbie Polston and Terri Croson; sister Connie Bartholomew; brother Weslie Holliday; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
