4175Mittman and Reger Vows TakenAnnouncement is made today of the marriage of Miss Fern Mittman, daughter of Mrs. Edith Mittman, 909 West Third Street, and Wayne Reger, of Long Beach, California. The marriage took place on Friday, Jan 17, at Long Beach.
The single-ring ceremony was held in the parlors of the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Winfield Edson officiating. Mr. and Mrs. William J. Reger of Muscatine attended the couple.
The bride was dressed in a soldier blue suit trimmed in moleskin, and wore a corsage of orchids. Mrs. William Reger chose a black crepe dress with yellow accessories and a corsage of gardenias.
Immediately following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Reger left on a short wedding trip. On their return, they will reside at 3933 East Broadway, Long Beach, Calif.
Mrs. Reger is a graduate of Muscatine High School and has been employed at the F. W. Woolworth store here. Mr. Reger graduated from Polytechnic High School and is employed by Shell Oil Company in Long Beach.
A courtesy feting the bridal couple was held on January 11 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Hoopes, 1960 Oregon Street, Long Beach. The evening was spent socially, and refreshments were served. Little Sherwood Hoopes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Hoopes, presented a collection of gifts for the bride in a wagon decorated in her chosen colors.
Guests were Mrs. T. I. Wigim and Jean, Betty Romann, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Negus, of Pasadena; Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Conley, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Reger and Mrs. Edith Mittman, all of Muscatine; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reger, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lily, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hinkle, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Messier, and Mr. and Mrs. Hoopes and Sherwood.
