MITTMAN

MT. AIRY — Mr. Claude Everette Mittman, 84, of 421 Linville Road, Mt. Airy, died Wednesday afternoon in Northern Surry Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Mallalieu-Jones United Methodist Church. The Rev. Garland Warren will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Mittman was a life-long member of the Mallalieu-Jones United Methodist Church, serving on the Trustee Board and the Finance Committee. For the past 14 years, Mr. Mittman was employed at Rays Starlight Restaurant. Previously, he was employed at the Blue Ridge Hotel for over 40 years.

Surviving are one brother, Mr. Alexander Mittman of Cleveland, Ohio; two nieces, Miss Lucille Mittman and Mrs. Ponona Hatcher; six nephews, John L. Mittman, with whom Mr. Mittman lived at 421 Linville Road, and Clinton, Jimmy, Claude, Bobby G., and Benjamin Mittman; and three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Molly Mittman of Mt. Airy, Mrs. Lillia Bryant of Dobson and Mrs. Dorothy Mittman of Cleveland, Ohio. (Spencer)
