Karolyn Kaye Koopman Mittman, 46, of 2720 Third Ave., Marion, died Sunday in Mercy Medical Center after a sudden illness. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and in the afternoon Saturday at the chapel.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin of Cedar Rapids and Randall, stationed with the Army in Kuwait; her mother, Viola Koopman of Keystone; two brothers, Delbert and Charles Koopman, both of Newhall; and two sisters, Janice Knipp of Keystone and her twin, Marilyn Johnson of Aitkin, Minn.

Karolyn was born March 29, 1945, in Vinton and married Richard Mittman on Aug. 27, 1966, in Newhall. He died in 1971. She worked for Quaker Oats for 24 years and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

The Rev. Ronald Pfluger will officiate. A memorial fund has been established.
