Rebecca “Rhea” Mittman
Rebecca “Rhea” Mittman was born in Brooklyn, NY, on Nov 1, 1923. She married Sol “Mickey” Mittman, also of Brooklyn, and they remained married for over 60 years. Rebecca and Mickey moved to Los Angeles in 1965, where Mickey worked in the garment district, eventually settling in Palm Springs, where Rebecca opened a popular women’s boutique called Rhea’s. Rebecca’s love of sports, fashion, design, art, and literature permeated everything she did and was central to her life. She passed away comfortably in Palm Desert, surrounded by family. She is survived by her children, Stephen, Jeffrey, and Gary, their wives, as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
