MITTMAN, J. GEORGE, 79, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, Jan 5, 2001. Born in Muscatine, Iowa, he came here in 1960 from Moline, Illinois. He was a manager for General Electric in Moline for 28 years before moving to Florida. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of five years, Ann; a son, Kevin, of Palm Harbor; a daughter, Nancy Waechter, of St. Petersburg; a brother, Paul, of Moline; three grandsons; and a granddaughter. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes and Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
