Ferdinand Mittman, living at Wayne Center, was butchering hogs about four weeks ago, and coming to the kitchen for boiling water, set a pailful on the floor while dipping out another pailful. His three-year-old son backed while playing and fell into the water. He went blind from the burns and, after four weeks of suffering, died on November 20.
