BARTLETT — Eleanor (Mittman) Stark, formerly of Bartlett and Cloverdale, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006.
She was born Dec. 3, 1917.
She married Millard E. Stark on Nov. 21, 1936, at St. Isidore Church.
Her family farmed in the Schaumburg and Wheaton areas until 1949, when they moved to Cloverdale and started Stark & Son Trenching Co.
Survivors include two children, Arthur (Alma) of Burlington and Patricia (Alfred) Auer of West Chicago; 13 grandchildren, Michael (Patty) Stark, Steve, Greg, Laurie Stone and Ed Mucha, Jerry Bishop, Greg (Julie) Bishop, Jeff (Pam) Bishop, Susan (Wayne) Norris, Jeff Auer, Kathleen (Eric) Engstrom, Christine Auer, Melissa (Tim) Conover; 16 great-grandchildren, Tony, Jessica, Tim, Justin, Alicia, Shawn and Nichole Mucha, James, Daniel and Brandon Bishop, Tom and Dan Salamone, Alex and Tayler Norris, Rachel and Timmy Conover; three sisters-in-law, Verona (the late Ray) Stark, Elaine (the late Warren), Franklin (June) Stark; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard; her brothers and sisters, Marie (late Bert) Wisbrock, Elizabeth (late Ed) Higgins, Agnes (late Earl Heineman, Mike (late Catherine) Mittman, John Mittman, Ferdinand (late Doris Mittman, Francis (late Madge) Mittman; her in-laws, Ollie (late Erv) Nagel, Albert (late Grace), Vernon (late Natalie), Martin Jr., William, Charles, and her parents, Ferdinand and Mary (Beyer) Mittman.
The visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Countryside Funeral Home, 950S. Bartlett Road, at Stearns Road, Bartlett.
The funeral will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the funeral home, proceeding to a 10 a.m. Mass celebrated at St. Isidore Church in the small chapel.
Burial will be in St. Isidore Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Association for Individual Development, 309 W. New Indian Trail Court, Aurora, IL 60506, or St. Charles Borromeo Capital Campaign, 297 E. Jefferson, Hampshire, IL 60140.
