[125]Norma Elaine Reinhardt Sencer, 83, of Chicago, formerly of Van Horne, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chicago, following an extended illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, Keystone, by the Rev. David Lindenberg. Burial: St. John Cemetery, Newhall. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Norma was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Van Horne, to A.O. and Lillian (Kramer) Reinhardt, and was the granddaughter of F.A. Reinhardt, founder of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Van Horne. She graduated from Van Horne High School and then attended and graduated from a Chicago-area Nursing School. As an R.N., she cared for people in the Chicagoland area for over 50 years.
In June of 1950, she married Dr. Walter Sencer in Chicago. The couple later divorced.
Survivors include a son, Philip Sencer of Chicago; a brother, Wayne Reinhardt and wife Nadine of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Wanda Edwards and husband Dick of Marengo; her nieces, Susan Reinhardt of Winter Haven, Fla., and Lisa Reinhardt Zoeller of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and her nephews, Eric and Kurt Reinhardt, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
In addition to her parents and her ex-husband, an infant daughter preceded her in death.
