[168]GOLDBERGMarian E. (Lalley) passed away peacefully at her daughter Laura’s home in Alpharetta, GA, on November 2, 2010. She had been a resident of Paterson, Franklin Lakes, and Glen Wild Lake, NJ.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Laura Smith, her daughter, Jessica, and her much-loved grandsons, Zachary Smith and Paul McCracken. She also leaves her brothers, Gregory of Glen Wild Lake, and Anthony and his wife, Lois Lalley of Jefferson Twp. NJ. Marian was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Leonard Goldberg; her daughter, Sally Jane Blaney; her first husband, John Blaney; and her parents, Anthony C. and Sarah E. Lalley of Glen Wild Lake and Paterson, NJ.
She also leaves her nephew, Tim Lalley, and her nieces, Kathleen Spinnler and Marybeth Arnone.
Marian was a very spiritual person; we will celebrate her life in NJ during the spring of 2011.

[176]John Blaney, Former All-State Player, 29TOTOWA — Blaney, 29, of 28 Harding Ave, a former All-State basketball player, died suddenly yesterday at his home after a week’s illness. Born in Passaic, he was a graduate of St. Joseph’s grammar and high schools in Paterson and Rutgers University. In 1950, he was named to the All-State team and played semiprofessional basketball from 1950 to 1956. Mr. Blaney was a veteran of the Korean conflict and was an accountant with MacNichol and Johnson and Co., New York City.
Surviving are his wife, Marianna Lally Blaney; a daughter, Sally Jane; his mother, Mrs. Jane Dunn Blaney of Paterson; a twin brother, Robert of Garfield; another brother, William of Paterson; and a sister, Mrs Alfred (Margaret) Semento of Hawthorne. His father, William, predeceased him. The funeral will be held on Monday.

[74]Dr. Leonard GoldbergBLOOMINGDALE — Dr. Leonard Goldberg, 52, died Saturday at The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in this borough for a year and before that in Franklin Lakes. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Marian; three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Sally) Gai of New York City, Laura, and Jessica, both at home; his mother, Rose, of Long Beach, L.I.; and a sister, Mrs. Francine Janson of Canton, Ohio.
Arrangements are by Robert Schoem Menorah Chapel, W-150 Route 4, Paramus.
