Lois was known for making everyone around her feel loved, accepted, and most importantly…heard. She always stood up and encouraged the underdog. Her love and generosity were known and experienced by many. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it, and she had. She was the very definition of true altruism. Mother of the late Lawrence Egnor. Survived by Daughter Kimberly Sunko (Scott Sunko). Son Raymond “Buddy” Burke (Kevin Pipkens). Grandmother to Alyssa Egnor-Bair, Joseph Sunko, and Sarah Sunko. Great Grandmother to Erik Sullivan, LilliAnna Powers, and Jacob Nunez. Sister to the late Richard “Rick” Freedman and Janette Pingul. Survived by Sisters Melody Loftus, Diane Hartman, Karen Sesso, Bonnie Bichl, and Joanne Howell. Aunt to Kelly Mershon-Miracle, Michelle Chappell, Scott Preston, Kurt Preston, Mitzi Herber, Shane Bichl, Roberto “Rob/bie” Pingul, Eric Pingul, Kristine Pingul, and Christine Mola. Great Aunt and friend to many.
She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Her favorite charity was the American Kidney Association.
The memorial visitation is on Sunday, April 14th, 2019: family at noon and friends and neighbors from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Celebration of Life Service, Sunday at 7 p.m. at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60646.
