Wallace Grigg

Wallace Grigg, 75, of Crystal Lake, former co-owner of a Woodstock bookstore and a former Chicago Tribune employee, died Tuesday in Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock. He was born in Chicago and formerly lived in Markham, Lincolnwood, and Woodstock. In 1969, he and his wife, Lora, opened a bookstore called Lora and Wally Grigg Booksellers in Woodstock. The couple sold the store in 1991 when they retired. Mr. Grigg was the office manager of the Tribune’s retail advertising department from 1945 to 1972. Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Susan, and a brother. A memorial service will be held in the fall.
