SENCER — Helen Furniss Sencer, aged 103, died November 5, 1999, in Atlanta, GA. She had been a resident of Grand Rapids since 1914. She was a social worker for 40 years, serving as home service director for the Kent County Chapter of the American Red Cross and as director of outpatient services at Blodgett Memorial Hospital. She was one of the original members of the Women’s City Club and a member of Fountain Street Church from 1920 until her death. She is survived by her son, David J. Sencer of Atlanta, GA.; three grandchildren; and five grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Fountain Street Church at a later date. She would have appreciated contributions to the Pastor's Fund at Fountain Street Church in her memory.
