BIRENBAUM, Sam. On Friday, February 28, 2003. Beloved husband of Rose. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Rhonda and Norman Gontovnick, Brian and Eva, Jeffrey and Rhonda, and Debra and Michel Tylbor. Cherished Zaidie of Brandon, Samara, Sydney, Sasha, Chloe, Shane, Braeden, and Coby. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gail and the late Sam Weniger. Brother-in-law of Allan and Lily Degen of Israel. Uncle of Leo, Bernie, James, Yaniv, and Doron. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Jillian and Maria for their loving care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon West, on Sunday, March 2, at 10 a.m. Burial at the Congregation Beth Israel Aaron Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. BIRENBAUM. Rose (née Degen)
Peacefully, after a courageous battle, on Wednesday. December 2, 2015. Daughter of the late Sarah and the late Ben Degen. Devoted wife of the late Sam Birenbaum. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Rhonda and Ian Duskes, Brian and Eva, Jeffrey, Debra, and Michel Tylbor. Cherished Bubbie of Brandon, Samara, and Sydney, Sasha, Chloe, Shane, Braeden, Coby, and Morgan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Allan and Lily Degen, and sister-in-law of Gail and the late Sam Weniger. Rose will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Dr. Jason Agulnik and nurse Tara Jesion, Dr. Golda Tradounsky, and nurses Chloe, Kathy, and Helene, as well as all the staff at Mount Sinai Hospital. A special thank you to her caregivers, Mayette, Prozie, and Marlene. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W, on Friday. December 4 at noon.
