4172MUSCATINE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE MARRIED IN CHICAGO.Two well known Muscatine young people, Miss Freda Mittman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Mittman, West Third Street, and Vernon Whitman, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitman, 1169 New Hampshire Street, were united in marriage in Chicago, Saturday, according to local relatives who have just received details of the marriage.
The ceremony took place at 4 o’clock at the First Congregational Church in Chicago, with the Rev. Bon Ogden Vogt officiating. Mr. and Mrs. H. Oetzel of Chicago, the latter a sister of the bride, were the attendants.
Mrs. Whitman wore a dress of brown crepe meteor with trimmings of sand-colored crepe de chine.
The couple will go to housekeeping immediately at 743 Oakdale Avenue, Chicago. The groom made his home here until a year ago. Mrs. Whitman has been employed at the Batterson Store for the past year.
