Former Resident Dies.
Newkirk, Oct. 17 - Amelia Mittman, Arkansas City, a former resident of the Newkirk area, died Monday noon at the St. Mary's hospital at Winfield. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Morris Funeral Home at Arkansas City with burial in the Newkirk cemetery. Mrs. Mittman lived nine miles east of Newkirk until 1925 when she moved to Arkansas City where she has since lived.
