DAVENPORT — Gene E. Mittman, 63, 5455 Appomattox Road, Apt. 11, Davenport, died Sunday evening, May 18, 1991, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Davenport.
Services will be on Tuesday, May 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward Meyer of the Mount Zion Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Alan Mittman, Lyle Kehn, Russel Kehn, Timithy Mittman, and Dale Mittman. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Mittman was born June 17, 1927, in Muscatine, a son of Earl and Miriam Shelladay Mittman.
Survivors include a son, Dale Mittman, of Muscatine; a daughter, Lori Klein, of Bacaville, Calif.; three grandchildren; a brother, Alan W. Mittman, of Muscatine; and a sister, Mrs. Lyle (Audrey) Kehn, of Bettendorf.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church in Davenport, a member of Moose Lodge No. 28, Davenport; the Alcoa Retirees Club, Davenport Masonic Lodge, and formerly sang with the Elks Chanters.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He retired from Alcoa in 1981 after 34 years of employment.
