EARL MITTMAN

Earl R. Mittman, 75, 1101 Grandview Ave., died at Muscatine General Hospital this morning.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Rev. Tony Nester will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The son of Fred C. and Emma Gorman Mittman, he was born Aug. 5, 1905, in Muscatine and lived in the area his whole life.

His marriage to Miriam Shellady occurred in Muscatine on May 14, 1925. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Mittman had been a dredge operator for Hahn Brothers for 32 years and worked as a farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gene Earl of Riverdale and Alan W. of Muscatine; one daughter, Mrs. Lyle (Audrey) Kehn of Bettendorf; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Delmar of Muscatine; and one sister, Mrs. William (June) Higgins of Keswick.
