Ex-Resident Dies

Samuel Mittman, 89, former president of the Ohio Overcoat Co. of Galion and Mansfield resident, died Sunday in North Miami Beach, Fla., following a three-week illness.

Mr. Mittman, who lived on Crescent Rd. in Mansfield, was a member of the Mansfield Retmen’s Club and B’nai Jacob Congregation.

Surviving are his wife, Mollie; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Budin, formerly of Mansfield and now of Hollywood, Fla., Mrs. Elaine Ackerman, also of Hollywood, and Mrs. Jeannette Sacks of Cleveland; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and two brothers and one sister, all of New York.

Memorial services and burial were held on Monday in North Miami Beach. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Samuel Mittman Athletic Scholarship Fund through the First National Bank of Galion.
