[3608]Ex-Resident DiesSamuel Mittman, 89, former president of the Ohio Overcoat Co. of Galion and Mansfield resident, died Sunday in North Miami Beach, Fla., following a three-week illness.
Mr. Mittman, who lived on Crescent Rd. in Mansfield, was a member of the Mansfield Retmen’s Club and B’nai Jacob Congregation.
Surviving are his wife, Mollie; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Budin, formerly of Mansfield and now of Hollywood, Fla., Mrs. Elaine Ackerman, also of Hollywood, and Mrs. Jeannette Sacks of Cleveland; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and two brothers and one sister, all of New York.
Memorial services and burial were held on Monday in North Miami Beach. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Samuel Mittman Athletic Scholarship Fund through the First National Bank of Galion.

[3607]Mollie MittmanNORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Private services will be held on Thursday in Florida for Mollie Mittman, the widow of former Galion businessman Sam Mittman. Mrs. Mittman died at her home in North Miami Beach on Tuesday. She was 93.
She and her husband, who owned the former Ohio Overcoat Company, resided at 215 Payne Ave.," Galion for over 50 years. They were members of B'Nai Jacob Temple in Mansfield and Mrs. Mittman was a member of the B'Nai Brith Women.
The overcoat firm closed about 1957. Mr. Mittman died six years ago.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Budin and Elaine Ackerman, both of Florida, and Jeanette Sacks of Cleveland; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Florida.
