Private family services will be held at McGinnis-Chambers in Bettendorf.
Lyle was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Delmar, Iowa, to Clarence and Rose Durkop Kehn. He married Audrey June Mittman in 1953.
He retired from Alcoa as a maintenance crane operator after over 30 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, children, Karen (John) Zaehringer of Charleston, S.C., and son, Russ (Pam) of Bettendorf; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

[7]Lyle E. Kehn, 81, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Lyle was born in Delmar, Iowa, on November 14, 1930, the son of Clarence & Rose (Durkop) Kehn.
In his early years, he worked at the former Hanrahan's Service Station in Delmar and later at the Alcoa Company.
He retired from Alcoa as a maintenance crane operator after over 30 years of faithful service.
In 1953, he married Audrey June Mittman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Audrey; his daughter, Karen (John) Zaehringer of Charleston, South Carolina; his son, Russ (Pam) Kehn of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Samantha Zaehringer, Shayla (Erik) Mattly of Bettendorf and Elizabeth Kehn of Bettendorf; and his great-grandchildren, Anna, Liv, Tierney, Brynn & Peyton.
Lyle was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Brackenmeyer and Jean Waite.
